6/8/08 San Jose…... It was soo much fun!
The only 2 things that sucked..
1. Waiting for an hour to start (we were in the 10th wave)... as the temperature just kept getting hotter.
2. Standing around, trying to find an open hose to use at the end to get all the mud off!
BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.. we’re doing it again next year for sure. The biking was killer the first uphill… most of us just walked our bikes and the runners passed us! And then some of the downhills were kind of scary considering I never mountain bike… I don’t know how fast I was going… saw a few accidents.. but all in all it was awesome.. took tons of pics.. if you have myspace check it out

My sister forgot her ID, so no beer garden for us. Oh well… next year..

I think there are 28 days until our race. We’ve been riding our bikes, but we haven’t been running. I guess we could walk the running part. I just don’t want to come in last!

The only thing keeping me from immediately registering is the pricey entrance fee. Never knew it’d be that expensive to create a large mud pool. :)

How could anyone not want to crawl in a mud pool towards a finish line?? It sounds like so much fun- I just need to borrow/buy a good hybrid/mountain bike… I’m hoping next year I can check this one off the list.
