How to walk in High Heels by imkeedy

"I have been doing it for years. I think it came naturally from dancing and walking gracefully. I think if you learn to walk on your toes and glide like a dancer you can walk in heels."

How I did it: I just put on heels when i was younger and would glide through the house.  Wearing heels are like second nature to me now.  I think it starts by learning to be graceful.  Learning how to dance and walk like a dancer, especially bellydancer or salsa dancer will assist in the grace and floating thing. 

Lessons & tips: Start with a quality pair of basic pumps, like easy spirits.  Walk with a bit of a sway to the hips and float in your feminine grace.

    I want to get better at walking in heels. I can do it, but it takes an annoying amount of concentration to not fall over and break my neck. Plus my feet always hurt afterwards.

    To start with don’t go to high on the heels or you’ll just fall over. If you need the height then I would suggest platforms with a block heel. Stilettos look the best but can be a bit tricky to master.

    A little while ago I could only walk backwards (seriously, only backwards, never forwards) in high heels and that was in the safety and comfort of my bedroom. I can now walk pretty well in high heels, and forward like a normal person!! Am also a pretty nifty little dancer in my heels. I have found the best way to walk in heels is to stand as straight as possible, and pull your stomach in slightly (kind of like the Pilates neutral standing position)

    This goal is definately worht doing, and you feel so feminine and dainty in heels!!

    Being a guy this wasn’t something I tried until I was older, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I can easily walk in 5” heels, and wiht some concentration can walk in 8” heels without falling over. There’s just something about high heels that makes you feel sexy.
