Seriously, I need to do this. I have a great life. I haven’t done anything that’s really fucked up my life. I was given a lot while growing up. My family wasn’t rich, we were working middle class, but my parents did what they could to make my life decent. I’m not living in some country where I’m a second class citizen just because I’m a woman or because of the family I was born into. I’m not living in a thrid world country. I don’t live in a country where I can be burned alive or stoned because some man seems to think I deserve it. I’m not living in a country where I’m someone’s property. I’m not living in some oppressive nation. I can do as I please and be who I want. I’m living a great life now with my husband. He moved me to Japan and out of St. Louis. He gives me everything I could ever want and need. I’m loved. I’m cared for. I’m wanted. What more could I need for a better life? I need to start giving thanks for the life I have and learn to never take for granted the things I am able to do and the things I have.
