A great little restaurant tucked away in the heart of london’s eastend. This is a pub that has been converted into the a restaurant. Its decorated with ancient Egyptian, Greek & Roman artifacts. There are a number of alcoves and we had to climb small wooden stairs to get to our table. It feels intimate and the food was lovely! 5 months ago

Dinner in the dark… complete darkness!
We went for the ‘surprise’ three course menu. We were led to our tables by our blind waiter and could see absolutely nothing! Made me realise how much we eat with our eyes. It was very unsettling at first given that the restaurant was pitch black. Got used to it after a while. The food was lovely, but I couldn’t pick out what we were eating other than it was fish or meat. I also didn’t feel I could fully appreciate the food without seeing it. A very unusual experience! 15 months ago
