Want monkey, it is where I come from so then I understand better where I been. They are hunted from the birds of prey, they will be safe with me.
After watching the episode of The Outsiders with the crazy violent monkey children…I think I’ll pass…
Scence I have been a little girl I have alway”s wanted a monkey, so I could dress it and treat it like my own child. A monkey has a face you could never be mad at but alway”s love.
I actually own a monkey… he is the cutest thing and actually quite to what people think, does not throw poo. He may throw his grapes or peppers at you, but not his poo, expecially since he usually wears a diaper. He has his own bedroom with tv and is given a bath daily. He loves be in the tub, he swims around and throws the bubbles at you! Don’t get me wrong, all animals can be dangerous. I have been bitten numerous times, but it is when I scare him by waking him up suddenly while cleaning or something. He has not drawn blood. I have been bitten and scratched by my cat more than my monkey.
If you are looking at woning a monkey be sure to spend a day with one by teaming up with a vet and finding a program available in your area to ‘babysit’ for a day in a facility to train new exotic pet owners.
It is worth it if you have the time and funds available for such a thing.
Don’t own wild animals!! They are not domesticated and never will be! Think about how sad the monkey would be, as cute as they are. They belong in the wild and should stay there!
A caged monkey is an unhappy monkey and being our genetic cousins they can really pull out all the stops. Most of my scars have faded but having had a small troupe of monkeys as family pets as a child, I’ll never recommend them as pets to anyone.
