Well, I gave it a valiant attempt today, but it would’ve helped to stay on the correct trail… my friend (the one in the pic) and I somehow went off on the wrong trail and ended up going straight up hill… it was NOT pleasant… we ended up turning around and leaving Mt. Charleston to be conquered another day. We still ended up doing a 7 hour hike, and in my opinion worked just as hard if not harder than the actual North Peak Trail… we were on a VERY steep incline and it was killing our legs… next time the mountain won’t win!

Going next weekend

Got a few friends together… will be doing this the weekend of 6-24-06… taking off around 6 in the morning and expect to be done by 4:00 or so… I have heard it is an 8-9 hour hike and is about 17 miles round trip… haven’t been hardcore climbing in while, so we shall see how I do.
