Well I haven’t sold on Etsy yet. But I have sold at craft markets and fairs in the past year.
I have learned that if I haven’t seen it advertised anywhere – its not worth it! No one will go if they don’t know its there!
Also, knowing what will sell can be a little unpredictable!
People weren’t very interested in record bowls, but they loved tha packagin made from album covers and record sleeves! It helped that the packaging was free with any purchase…
I know I can do it because the two markets I took part in asked me to come back again. But I am in aonther country now… I have to start all over again!

I’ve bought some items and now I’m going to try my hand at selling. I hope someone will be interested in what I make.
I know I can do this (after I move) and hopefully I can at least break even. I would love to make money doing what I love. Mostly knitted and sewn clothing, accessories and toys in a vintage style.
for my friend’s kids and they were great. I just loved being able to buy something original.

if I am involved in them finding a software engineer then I can get a shopping spree on the site, plus fulfill my goal of befriending a programmer.
now if only I could find one for my own site. I’m still like on chapter 4 of my dummies book. And I probably need more php than ruby knowledge.

Well, I’ve been active on Etsy since mid February, and I’m loving it! The community is helpful and supportive, the admins are wonderful (One of them even bought something from me!) and it’s just an all around great site. If you make things to sell, forget Ebay and check out Etsy.
Also, the items for sale are amazing! I’ve already bought a few things (and I’ve also had a trade, and an “Alchemy” request. So far, it’s been a very positive experience.
