Well, that’s the end of a season. It’s not like the Red Sox didn’t try! So it’s time to shelf the ball game for the season and go to the hockey game and watch my home town Alaska Aces make a run for the pennant. We broke down and bought season tickets so it’s off to the hockey game. The boys won the first 2 games of the season against Las Vegas. Hope they can do better than last year and I guess there won’t be scheduling conflicts between watching the World Series and going to the game. I don’t want to curse the whole damn thing but if the 2007 post season game against the Indians and the 2004 post season game against the Yankees are any indication that Terry Francona has a plan and there is a path to follow to the World Series, we are dead on course. TOnight is game 7, do or die for both the Red Sox and the Rays. We’ll have our Red Sox gear on and our Red Sox flag on the front of the house unraveled and flying proper like.

Hockey season is over, the home town team for me, the Alaska Aces got took out in the play offs. Would have liked to see the Penguins beat the Wings for the Stanley Cup but hey you can’t win them all. But you can sure hope which is why we’re back in baseball season and the Red Sox are doing pretty fair this season. Pitching seems to be a bit of an issue at times and there are a few guys that need to pick it up a bit but hey, it’s not play off baseball yet unless it’s a Red Sox & Yankee’s game then with the rivalry they play every game together like it’s play offs! They have moved on from that and though the Rockies put forth a valliant effort the Red Sox did it a little cleaner and better than they did. I waited to put an entry in on this because I didn’t want to jinx the whole damn thing. ;-)Congrats to Mike Lowell for getting the MVP. It’s not all Ortiz and Manny, others performers like Mike were there all of the time! So now it’s time to move on to hockey for the winter, this one is put to bed for another season!
