I am a lazy ass, which I have no excuse for as I have the time and my company has a free gym in the building. I’m going to start by making myself go once a week and working up to three times a week. Also not eating so much crap.

Over the past few years i’ve gone from someone who used to train 3-4 times a week to….well bu**er all mainly. I want to get fitter – go back to the gym & basically look after myself fitness wise again.

Well, this is my very first entry. I want to get fitter. I’m getting old(ish) and my youger self was definetly svelter. Originally I had set aside an hour to do a pilates tape. Unfortunatle the hour I set aside is the hour I’m using at this very mement to write about my goal of getting fitter. Cue the irony! I’m hoping that through some sort of typing osmosis the fitness bug will land in my brain and I will be on my way to better health. Wish me luck!

I did a beginners yoga routine today – I could feel blood flowing in new places :) Scary how many poses I had to do the modified ‘inflexible, unfit’ version of. I’m only 27. Will try to keep up the yoga 4 times a week – I should get better at it.

Started going to the gym again, it’s just a little one but they’ve got treadmills which is good cause I can’t just stop, like I can if I go jogging on the road! I do some weights but they are not my main priority at the minute as I want to lose my fat bits before I start putting on muscle. I’m going to put on a picture of my gut as a reference point, although I have lost a lot of that already, it is a picture from the start of the year, so it is still relevant and I could easily go back there so it is good to have it as reference I guess.
Yesterday went on high rope course as well, that worked my upper body quite well I think,arms are slightly sore today. Would enjoy doing something like that more seriously…
