Worth doing!

...(also known as Chado or Chanoyu) for three years now. It’s absolutely wonderful, absorbing, challenging, and so much fun!

I plan to keep studying this forever, so although I’ve said “I’ve done this”, in reality you never really “finish”. It’s a lifetime practice.

Worth doing!

I learned the aspects of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, but I’m sure there is more than I actually learned. It was a great experience, and if I were to ever spend more time in Japan, i would think about learning more.

Worth doing!

I took a class that was offered at my college. It is a beautiful ceremony with strict rules… people really REALLY get into it… like it become their everything. Its pretty cool… the green tea is very very bitter but the cafinee rush is amazing also the sweets are awesome too.

I joined a tea ceremony club last November. Up until now, I have only been allowed to watch and drink tea. This week I started learning how to fold the red cloth cloth that is used to clean the matcha scoop and matcha container. There are about 20 steps involved just in foling/unfolding the napkin.
