I have been remiss in writing entries for this particular goal! The truth is, I went through a non GG phase where I did not care for them so much. But I’m back and still pursuing this goal, only I’m adding a tad bit of Lorelai into the mix; because I realize that I am much closer to being like Lorelai than of Rory. Rory is much more organized and focused on her goals. Lorelai seems much more fun… So I need to find an in between them. Lorelai is also crafty which I like. Rory is quiet which I also like. Must work towards this goal… which in the end is really, finding myself!

I have my grade point average soaring! I’ve never thought too much about what other’s thought, but recently I had a semi-friend stop talking to me because I was ‘mean to one of her friends,’ or so I was told by one of my friends off handly. I’m not bothering with it ‘cause the girl wasn’t that great of a friend any way and basically said I was a moron.

I also decided recently that I want to be a journalist in the horse world! I’m not copy catting Rory really, my cousin was a journalist for the Washington Post and asked about it. I realized then that I liked the idea. I want to open the world’s eyes to the atrocities that are going on, like did you know that there was a study done that proved if the horse slaughtering people would ship horses correctly they would double their profits. They don’t though. They have continued to pack them on like cattle and ship them for days with out water or food of any type.

I know that sounds stupid. I know she’s just a television character. What I mean when I say that is I want to be a better version of myself. Rory and I have a lot of similarities. We both are obsessive compulsive about certain things- study situations, scheduales- and I also read incessently. I’m extremly sarcastic and I talk almost annoyingly fast. My mom is absoloutly gorgeous [ as in pageant queen] and I’ve been told I take after her. My grandparents are wealthy people but unlike Lorelai my mother gets along with her sometimes snobbish family. I’m Vice President of my class and am well liked amongst my peers and even those who believe themselves to be above the ranks of my peers. My friend had told me that me and this character are extremly similar. I was curious so I watched some re-runs of the show. Our personalities I noticed were practically identical.
Soooo [sorry about the prelude] when I say I want to be like Rory I mean I want to be more true to my own values. Adolescence is often the time when kids stray off and do stupid stuff. When I see Rory it’s like a reflection of myself and what I know I would rather be doing sans peer presure.

She has changed my life in every aspect. I don’t know what i would do without her.

I’m definitely trying this. I have always admired Rory and try being like her every day. Well, with out the lists. But I think I’ll add them. I already love reading so thats simplistic. My main thing for changing myself to be more like her is to stick to my goals, which the lists might help with… She is always so motivated and strong. I tend to fizzle out… Well here it goes!
