Well I am making some progress with my painting. I have bought my board (I paint on the non-tile side of tileboard- aka masonite) and had it split (a 8×4ft board into 2×2 ft squares) and now I have two of these boards covered in gesso on my easels ready to go except for my sketching.
And speaking of sketching, I already have my theme picked out for this project with some loose sketches and ideas. Now I just need to not be working both part time jobs the same day so I get some time when I am not exhausted!

but I went out with my friend and just didn’t get around to it. I want to start with a new slate by having my studio straightened up and also with my new small pochade box. This should not be difficult. I need a tripod mount for the box.

I am realizing that painting every single day is just not the best thing for me. I need the natural rythm of paint/rest and regroup. Though there is definatly room for more discipline in the hours I put into my work, there have been nights that I forced myself to paint and the results were disasterous. I think I need to tune in a little better so I can distinguish between when I truly just need a break and when I am being sluggish.
