knit a pair of gloves

I’ve been looking at patterns, and I think I’ve decided on this as it’s a bit of a challenge but not too hard! Just gotta get some wool now, but I haven’t decided what colour I want.

I started on the second glove yesterday. I have to hurry up because autumn is already here and I can’t have just one glove. Knit knit knit!

I really had a good time making these. The fingers were a bit frustrating, but I enjoyed myself. I’ll definitely be making another set.

Yay! I have just completed my first (fingerless) glove. I dropped stitches like crazy when I was working on the pinky finger, and there were times when the DPNs drove me to distraction, but so far, I am having a good time. I’ll be casting on for Glove #2 this evening.

I have started the first glove. I was moving along quite smoothly and have done all the increases for the thumb and now I am stymied by a single sentence, “Place gusset stitches on waste yarn, CO 1 stitch to bridge the gap.”

Okay, so what the hell? How do I cast one stitch in the middle of working on DPNs?
