So much fun! 1 month ago

I went last year with my mom, my sister, 3 of my troupemates, and 2 other girls and we had a blast! I had always loved the moive but I hadnt ever been to a showing of it. One of my troupemates grew up going to these things so she knew what to say and that definitely makes it more fun. We’re all planning to go again this year and Im thinking I may dress up this time.

Many a time... 4 months ago

I’ve gone a few times (three, I think?) to the old Michigan Theatre in Jackson, Michigan. My friends have always been in the re-enacting cast, so it makes it even more enjoyable!

I was asked to be Magenta because of my voice, but unfortunately, my schedule wouldn’t have worked out. I still think that would be quite interesting…

I borrowed a copy of the movie from the library so we could watch it together. It’s going to be a while before we can complete this one. There aren’t any midnite showings coming up locally that I can find.

I’ve been watching the movie my whole life, definitely my favorite. I can’t wait to do this.

I went once when I was 16 with some friends of my dad’s and had a blast. My son and I were talking the other night and he says he wants to go to see it. I’ve found a couple theaters that show it, but one wont be showing it for a couple months and I’m not sure about the other. This would be a fun time..

Can’t make the local shows this Hallowe’en, so I guess it’s another year without. The good news is, I’ll probably make it by the time I’m 80. :-(

Something everyone should do at least once. 11 months ago

I went with and ex-girlfriend in high school. I loved the atmosphere and the people so much that I kept going. I joined cast, and met my boyfriend at a show. If you’re going to go, watch the movie at home first, so you won’t be completely lost. Just be careful not to get involved in cast drama, because the one thing that every rocky cast has is plenty of drama.

I did this over thirty years ago when I was in college. It was a great experience. I’m glad to hear that new generations are continuing the fun. May I suggest renting the movie first so that you can enjoy the audience without missing the story.

It was worth it when I was a teenager. 16 months ago

I don’t think I’d want to go now, save as perhaps a study on the evolution of a cultural phenomenon over time. I find it a little hard to believe that it keeps going on, and that people still have fun with it . . . but it was fun the first few times I went. After that, I couldn’t understand why the attraction continued for some people.
