fit into that little black dress in my closet

83 days doesn’t sounds like very much – especially since I have a long way to go before fitting into the dress. Have I mentioned that the dress has never fit?? I bought it on sale a few years ago during whatever diet/exercise plan I was doing back then and figured I’d fit into it eventually. That moment never came and the dress hangs in my closet, all perfect and fabulous and unworn. I have to fit into it this year!

I’ve been trying to figure out how I can document my progress since I don’t plan on trying on the dress until I’m relatively sure I can fit into it or am extremely close. I get discouraged easily and nothing is worse for me than thinking I’ve made a ton of progress only to realize that I am mistaken.

So, I looked up the dress and compared the sizing chart with my own measurements. I am definitely not posting my measurements online but I am going to start posting how many collective inches I need to lose in order to fit into the dress. It’s do-able but it’s going to be a lot of work!

I made the questionable decision to make this goal my first “challenge” with the even more questionable consequences of not allowing myself caffeine for a month if I fail. I’ve been trying to cut back on caffeine but the idea of not being able to have it at all scares me! Failure is not an option! Technically, I’ll be healthier either way – without the extra weight keeping me from fitting into the little black dress or minus caffeine at the end of my punishment month. I’d much rather wear the dress to a wedding I’m going to be going to in May and have a caffeinated beverage while I’m there. We’ll see how I do! Wish me luck!!

It’s better than it was, but oh, just a couple more inches to go on the hips! So—must get another little black dress for New Years Eve! Gotta dazzle when we hit the town in Chicago!
