Ok, I think she is officially potty trained. She also learned to use the dog door yesterday!!!
I’m going to wait another week, and then let her sleep in my room. If that goes well, then I will take it off the list as being official!
Phoebe is 14 weeks old, and two days ago, for the first time, she scratched to get out! So I started leaving the door open during the day. Unfortunately, she is still having accidents in the house at night.
Tonight is the first night I will be leaving the door open to see if she will go out during the night. I tried this about 10 days ago and all she did was pee inside on the carpet near the door. Hopefully now she will actually go outside…we will see…
Soooo after a year of trying to fully potty train my dog, I thought I would have to kill him…. he did start sending himself to his crate when he pottied in the floor, but never quit, until we got another dog…how strange.
We got sam and at first we were worried about 2 male dogs marking their spots, but after a few days Sam was well aware of where to go potty, and how to let un know he wants out. We have actually had LESS accidents since we got him 3 weeks ago. He kind of taught our other dog what to do…
It was a little sketchy there for a while, but he now knows where to go.
I rescued Beau about six months ago, and persistant in going outside if you take him out every hour, he NEVER lets me know when he needs to go!! I’m trying the Click Training thing, but I don’t see it’s working. Any other suggestions?
I take Mickey straight outside at his usual “business” times so he hasn’t had an accident in the house in a while but, I’d like for hime to let me know when he wants to go out. A positive note, he’ll “go” on command…LOL.
I have a 5 month old Lhasa Apso and I need to get him potty trained!! HELP!!!! I’ve had him for a little over a month now and he still hasn’t used the bathroom on the grass… I had a 7 year old Lhasa before this puppy but he passed away and it’s been way too long since I had to deal with potty training a doggy… Any ideas please let me know… I need him to learn that he should go on the grass and not on my wood floor or rugs!!!
The click trainer is the most effect way to house train a puppy or a dog. I just got a little boston, after my english bull dog had died. It had been 11 years since I had to train a pup. I bought a book about trainin and they suggested the clicker. I bought on at petco for $2.99 and read the chapter in the book. The puppy now goes outside alll of the time. You should also use a crate as well. Puppy look at the crate as their home. And they will not do business in there
Fancyness feels disorganized
She’s gone a week with 0 accidents and a couple weeks with only a couple accidents. She’s holding it much longer and going right when we take her out. Very happy to have this done.
