How to get dreads by Lisolde

"Is one dread enough to 'have dreads'?"

How I did it: I had a plait for more than three months, but when my hair was growing, the plait gradually became half-dread/half-plait. So last Friday on Boombal I asked to a friend of mine who has dreads to finish my dread-plait into a full dread, and she did. Is called him Junior, with many thanks to Charlotte (the girl who made him). The day after I put a wooden pearl on it, and somewhere in my hair I've got another plait with a glass pearl in it.

I'm still wondering if I really want my hair to be full of dreads, I don't think so, because I like the combination of dread, plaits and loose hair.
I like my hair the way it's now, and I hardly have any work to keep it this way. I haven't combed it in three three months people often don't believe me when I say that, because it still looks great.

How I did it: My friend did them for me. They are still new so they are a lot of mainanance at the moment. I kept some hair in the front for security hair, this way if i end up cutting them off someday i will still have some real hair.  i really like them and a lot of people like them on me.     I finally managed to grow out my hair (over my shoulders) and then one crazy night i “decided” (for whatever UNKNOWN reason) to chop it all off (now it’s a little longer than my earlobes) and i shaved it all off underneath… Still not TOO sure why i did this… but it is STILL long enough for dreads…. And since there is not much i can do with it right now.. I might just go ahead and get the dreads :o)

    Bringing back the dreads! 5 months ago

    Don’t know when though. Not soon :(. I decided to first dye my hair rainbow and blue and turquoise are also still on the list. After that I want my dreads back. It’s been almost a year since I had them already and to be honest I start to miss them more and more. I’m guessing winter also isn’t the best season to get dreads, so maybe next spring?

    Dreads are so sexy. I think they look absolutely awesome (if they are done right and cared for in the correct manner). I really must have dreads SOON. A few people say they will do the dreads for me, but i don trust their “expertise” :op
    I must get them done and the only way i would probably be satisfied is if they are done proffesionally – but dreadlocks in this country are very EXPENSIVE… must get a job a.s.a.p and work my ass off to pay for them :oD

    It randomly occurred to me the other day that getting dreads would be frickin sweet ass, but I can’t do it right now because I have crazy layers in my hair that would probably stick out at weird angles.

    I’m for sure doing it after they grow out, though.

    it’s like down to the point where i can reach around and twirl it a tiny bit.
