I’m now back home after a 2 months trip backpacking throughout Central America. I am happy to see and travel the world, but most of all, I didn’t break the bank nor compromised on activities or excursions during my trip. I wasn’t traveling on a Champagne budget but it was more than a beer budget, by my standard. The life lesson was invaluable.

Why am I thanking a perfectly stranger/blogger? Andrea Dekker was a blogger that shared her knowledge with the world and inspired me to raise cash for my trip through selling stuff on Craigslist. I admit that it was a necessary action with or without Andrea’s blog entry. However, if it wasn’t for her visual cues, step by step instruction blog’s entry, I would never made half the amount I’ve made to begin with. It wasn’t a huge amount by any measure, but deep down, I knew that it was more than what I would have done on my own, without her inspiring post.

In addition, she was kind enough to left her “for sale by owner” blog ad active, even years after selling her home. I found it inspiring and empowering as I am currently preparing for the sale of my home. She shared that she was able to sold it within a very brief time. Her home was very beautiful and with lots of upgrades and improvements. My home is out of league by comparisons (in term of improvements or up keep) but I am open and receptive to a speedy escrow closing on the sale of my home.

Lastly, I acknowledge that it must have been God’s plan to have sent me across Andrea’s blog. I am a big learner by example and I am grateful that God and the Universe had sent me the right resources so I know what to do next.

All is well from my end! 4 months ago

I want to take a quick moment to express my gratitude to God/the Universe as well as nick RR for having be the first person to send her donation. I intent to fund raise the money so I can either purchase medical supplies or gifts to bring to the non profit hospital at Lake Antilian in Guatemala for my upcoming trip.

I’ve send out donation solicitation PMs to a few individual at VF and had high hope for a nick that I thought would surely participate or donate a generous amount. In the end, I didn’t even get a “no thank you” reply from that nick that I had high hoped for. That had really dampen my hope but RR’s donation in the mail today had really help pick up my dampen spirit.

I know everyone have different reward currency for act of kindness. Some wanted lots of publicity while other quietly contribute and share their prosperity because of true compassion.

It’s alright about that avoidance!

*I trusted that the lord will help me find creative ways to raise fund or reach out to more people who can contribute in this mission.
*I visualize in-kind strangers’ donations would pour in and join hands with me in improving the living condition of many poor people in Guatemala/Central America.
*I am receptive to wonderful deals on the supply I am purchasing for the hospital. Or accepting medical supply donation. Either way, it’s still useful for the hospital.

It is now late early noon and I am taking a brief moment to express my gratitude to the Universe for helping me sold some furniture items around the house.

1) I am thankful that I was able to sell the Chinese console dresser for a higher price to the 2nd buyer. I am heading for a 2 months long trip into Central America and I am raising cash via the liquidation on the excess interior decors. I still have more items listed on Craigslist to sell off. I am praying and also asking the Universe to continue to send serious buyers to purchase my listed items quickly.

2) Mr. B is still not speaking to me directly at the moment. But I am certain he still cares. He has indirectly helps/supportive of being a reference during my brother’s job search. I thank him for his open mind, kindness, and generosity, always. Thank you friend.

3) I am delight to heard back from a long distance friend, Marilynn. Seem like her life is great and she recently purchased another new car. Bless her success and her next large purchase goal – a house. Thanks friend for reaching out to me.

4) My last thankful item for the day, but not least, is my dear….dear….and sweet brother. He’s willingly funding (private loan, no interest) the first year expense of my decision to return to school full time to finish my degree. He’s also supportive and always there for me. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness. I have nothing to reciprocate his support nor his generosity in the finance realm, but I do ask the Universe to support him to be successful at his new employer. I pray that this is the right employer for him and please send only the best of the best for him to help him succeed at his job.

I think overall, it is an awesome day and the world is on my side, don’t you think?
