Over the weekend I threw a holiday party entitled “Ludachristmas,” which had nothing to do with Ludacris, but was a name I stole from an episode of “30 Rock.”

There was lots and lots of wine involved.
And intense Scattergories action.
And people not following the dress code (bring a bottle of wine, and then wear the color of the wine you brought. Not hard!)

And my wearing a, if I do say so myself, fantastic outfit, complete with fake lashes. I got the glue all over one of them and it got pretty clumpy, and once I actually got them on they looked like spiders attached to my face. But I trimmed them (and can’t believe I didn’t blind myself in the process, but at least it was before the wine drinking.) I was still a little iffy about them, but I was told they looked pretty good.

Ugh. Strip eyelashes. They feel heavy, they are SUCH a hassle to put on, I got a bit of glue into my eye (and it burns like a motherfucker), and the look isn’t that amazing. Plus I lost a couple of my own eyelashes when taking the fake ones off. Bwah. The individual lashes are all right I guess, but I don’t love wearing heavy liquid eyeliner just to “hide them” and make them look natural.

I’d rather wear mascara. Easier to apply, feels more luxurious than putting on human hair on your eyes, and doesn’t creep the fuck out of guys when you’re taking them off ;) 4 months ago
