buy a new mattress

My boyfriend and I are moving out, hopefully by the end of the summer, so we need a new mattress. He still has the single bed he had as a kid, and as for my bed it’s so old all the springs are broken. I want to have a comfortable new mattress to get rid of my backaches. It’s not normal to have backaches at 26!!!

Ours is terribly hard. It hurts all my pressure points. But my husband loves it, and after seeing him suffer with a too soft mattress for years before this one, I can’t do that to him again. We’d have to go shopping together and compromise, but…let’s just say there are a lot of obstacles to overcome to achieve this goal – it won’t be easy.

i finally bought the correct mattress for my bed frame. i hope to put it up tomorrow (my boyfriend is having his friend come over to help us). it’s a good thing i’ve got it now, cause my loft bed is getting more rickety by the minute. the bed i have (tromso loft bed from ikea) typically uses a foam mattress that is pretty much as light as a feather. the mattress i currently use is… heavy as hell. probably over 100 lbs.

i don’t think it’s very safe. i’m sleeping on the floor tonight! don’t want to risk my chances.

I finally did this…it’s been on my mind for months. It just got delivered this morning, so I haven’t tried it out yet. I hope tonight will be a wonderful night’s rest. I put the new duvet cover to wash, I’ve decluttered the clothes off the floor. All steps in the right direction.

It’s a good idea to look around. I went to two places (a mattress store and a big box furniture place) with a friend yesterday and we were like jack-in-the-boxes bouncing around on mattresses around the store! That also made it more tolerable and now I feel like I know to look for.

It seems that you can either go cheap (around $300-$400), or then you might as well go all the way up to approx. $1000, but the mid-range ones aren’t much better than then ones on the lower end of price.

the matress has arrived. praise Him.

NEED IT BADLY. We’ve been crowding eachother on the couch for a year now because our 5-yr old mattress is so uncomfortable.

And as soon as I add it, I have completed it. I stopped on the way back to work from lunch and bought a mattress. I got a simmons beautyrest something or other, but i was sold from the moment he said, it is the westin heavenly bed. i don’t know if you have ever slept on one of those, but it really is heavenly. it supposed to be delivered tomorrow. yay!

My mom gave my husband & I our Christmas present early…a new mattress! It has been ordered and will be delivered between 8-12 days…woo hoo!
