I forgot to mention to guests arriving at the guesthouse today that they should be here before dark… oops. Now they will be making their way through the dark forest in the rain. Headlamps strapped to heads, the jungle wetly caressing them as they wend their way along the trail. Very halloweeny, as it were.
But… now we are way late for the luau… probably will stay in and sip hot tea and watch a scary movie instead. 2 years ago

Almost
Looking on the bright side, we will certainly move to a place that will contain the dogs. check!
There is a lot of road between now and that particular turn, but meanwhile, in the spirit of what 43 T is all about, this is one of my top picks for a new place to move into.
Now whether that can happen or not is a sheer guess at this point. 2 years ago

First, I want to thank Lisa fro cheering my last post. It is utterly daunting to think about a change in life-venue at this point. The wedding business is just beginning to get some loft. If I am not around to nurture it, what will happen? Will I attempt to keep it going from some distant spot, and fly out for weddings, using the profits to keep the business going? Probably…
And today, is anyone else as utterly tired as I am of getting emails four and six times a day from (insert political party of choice) asking for more money?
I have no idea what my party is trying to accomplish, beyond beating out the competition. Their drum roll and flurry of “being fed up” and worrisome rhetoric aimed at talking about what a-holes the other side are overcomes everything else. They have actually drummed me into a political apathy that caused me to lose interest in the process. Now I am not registered and hence cannot vote even though I do give a damn. But not apparently about their process. 2 years ago

When we moved to this island, we started a business. It is home based, and despite the dreadful economy, part of it is working well. the other part, slow, but we just started advertising.
My sweetie has found a potential place for himself with a company out of Amsterdam. While we might not be looking at a move to Amsterdam, it may be we will have to return to the mainland.
In doing so, we will be giving up the second part of the business and having to figure out what to do with the first part. In another economy, we would sell everything.
I am trying not to let this become a quandary for me, but it looms on my horizon like an epic storm. 2 years ago

The dentist had all good things to say about my teeth. My mouth is fine.
Eyes another story.
And yesterday once tank fixed, we got 6000 gallons of water delivered. And now, it is pouring down rain out there. C’est la vie. 2 years ago

Today things are weird. Like I just wrote this whole entry and touched some key that made it disappear – poof!
Today my mouth is whining for a dentist, and the dentist will see me tomorrow.
Today we need to fix the water tank and get a water delivery, and until that happens, we essentially have no water.
My sweetie will fix the problems with the water, but when I asked him how long it will take, he said all afternoon. Usually he says “not long” and that means part of two or three days. He is still out there mulling about the process. I am hoping at this time that I will return from the dentist tomorrow with my mouth back to normal (ha ha – I think I need two crowns replaced – bleh) and water working just fine.
For now, I am off to do chores. Whine whine whine 2 years ago
