I remember having to write a letter to congress or the senate or the President when I was in High School. I think it was for my economics class or maybe it was Political Science. Yeah that would make more sense, polisci. But I don’t remember if I actually did it, but I passed the class so who cares.
Almost 10 years later, I decided to write to my senator, Dianne Feinstein. I wrote to her about the PERFORM act, aka the Platform Equality and Remedies for Rights-holders in Music Act. Try saying that three times in a row. The act basically calls for restrictions on recording over the air and other broadcast methods.
I personally think its BS but you should read about it for yourself. In anyway, find something you are interested and write to your senator, its a fun experience and interesting to see what kind of response you get.
