How I did it: We went to Michigan for CIY this year and we went to the beach and I loved walking around barefoot in the sand. Its easier to walk without shoes in sand, anyways. I loved squishing my toes in it and it was great.
Lessons & tips: Take your shoes off and just dig your toes in.

Therer is good sand, fine, clean, and there is other sand, coarse, dirty, and the one is a pleasure, and the other a burden. I know where the absolute best sands are, and even have information on colors.
Ask.
Exceptional sand is so white that the sun’s reflection dazzles the same as new fallen snow does, snow blindness has a companion sand blindness on certain beaches. On these beaches, the sand is so very fine and so very clean that it makes a squeaking noise when you walk. Very, very white sand is not hot even at Noon in mid-summer, as it reflects the heat upward. BTW the UV is also reflected, meaning that you will get a sunburn on the backs of your l=knees if you are not protected, or tanned, and you walk around for more than an hour.
Walk in the sand. Once you get exceptional sand between your toes, you become part of the ever growing Island Nation. Mount Gay Rum cannot be far away.
Did it as a kid & i must admit i didn’t enjoy it. Felt weird & even after washing my feet i felt as if i could still feel it.
