but I forgot! I have already distributed cheers here, logged on to home and work email, and talked with a virtual-world friend. Okay, starting NOW, it’s a net-free morning!

My weekly Internet-free morning. So why an I here? Well, it officially starts at 8 . . . just logged on to check in here, get my email, and sign on to my virtual world.
7:59 . . . going now :)

I slept till 11:30 and wasted the whole morning. Had to rush to make it to work, so it mattered not at all that I had not gone on the Internet.

Had my net-free morning this morning, and I was amazed how much I got done. Usually, I look at the clock and say, “Yikes! It’s (11:00, 12:00, you name it) already!”
Today, time went more slowly, and I seemed to have more of it.
It was hard keeping my fingers off the keyboard, though!

. . . does this mean I could not even check my email? Or log on to my virtual world? Yikes! Maybe I could do a quick check and a fast logon and then do my work.
Okay. . . tomorrow is it. My net-free morning will be Wednesday. Annnnd . . . how’s this? After 8:00 a.m., no Internet until . . . noon. Deal? Deal! (Shakes hands with self)

. . . I stumble to the computer, log onto the virtual world I belong to, and often chat or play a game. It’s too easy to get into time-wasting mode when I should be writing or doing some other kind of work. A net-free norning would let me get a lot done before I had to go into work.
