work in a coffee shop

Well this goal may have to be moved down on my list because…I have a job interview tomorrow at a chocolate bar. I hope i get it! I can always work at a coffee shop later in my life :)

I’ve been looking for a job for three months, anxiously awaiting a phone call and throwing myself at every retail store in my midst. I’d be a lost soul without Border’s Books, where I go to do my school work,sip spiced lattes and occasionally push myself into deeper debt by browsing the merchendise. I’d love to work there. Been drinking coffee for years now. Every since then I’ve always wanted to learn how to make coffee.

Last semester I’d make a trip to starbucks every morning. I’d order an Americano with Hazelnut. I’d ordered a plain hazelnut latte everyday until one day I heard the woman in front of me order the Americano, so i tried it and loved it. I want to know the inter workings of a coffee shot. I want to know the difference between an espresso and that thing with lots of foam. I want to know what has how many shots, and which ones they automatically put sugar in.

I don’t care if i get paid 7 and hour… i want to do it.

i worked in a cofee shop, still do actually. i dont enjoy it at all. getting burnt all day, people with confusing orders, angry customers and it takes so long to make a perfect cofee, late or cap. its worth a try i guess but if i had a choice i would wouldnt work there anymore.

I love coffee and I love working with people, it seems like a realistic goal.

I’m not working in a coffee shop yet, but I work at a hookah bar which I consider to be somewhat similar…okay, well maybe…

i got the job! and so far, it’s fun. i can make a decaf, tall, extra hot, three shot, wet, caramel latte.

plus, i’m feeding my addiction.

i have an interview with starbucks on sunday! the pieces of my MA life are slowly falling into place.
