i haven’t been increasing mileage lately, i’ve been working on time instead. i’m already back to a 10.5 min/mile pace!
How I did it: After not exercising regularly since before Christmas break, I had been feeling pretty discouraged about my running progress. I came back from vacation and everything felt even harder than it did when I first started, even running a half mile felt exceedingly difficult the first time. I think what made it even more difficult is that I didn't have any great new music to listen to while on the treadmill. That probably sounds silly, but I th… Read how I did it…

first run outside since september. not like this was a great winter for the elliptical machine either. i walked up the hill in the middle of my route.

Pushed myself that last little bit of the way tonight!!! I’m feeling so good about myself. :)
I created some extra playlists on my MP3 player to keep me motivated during my weaker spots and they worked really well.
My favorite song to run to so far is Love Generation by Bob Sinclair. Total classic.
Yay!

today i ran one mile, rested, ran 0.5 mile, then hiked uphill and back down again (0.8 mile). i kinda wanted to push myself to do a full two miles today but decided not to risk any injuries by pushing myself too far too soon. two of my sisters are more serious runners, and even at 26, little sister wants to do what her older sisters do.

This seems to be easier then I thought it would!!! Went running last night. I suspected mile 2 would come with the same difficulty mile 1 had, all the interval runs and challenges but instead last night I managed to do 1.75 miles before I was too exhausted to go on!
Incredibly feeling! My legs are so sore today though. Wow.
:)
roflcopterlmfao is lucky enough to have a bf that has every good qualities possible.
I ran 3 miles one day, trying to look for my friend who had run away form home.
I had to run the 3 miles back home. D:
A competitive swimmer 10 years ago, I have become sick and atrophied. Now that my father has passed,i thought I would pick up a new sport to give me energy. Unfortunately, I can’t run a mile yet! I hope that by baby steps I can start making some longer runs with ease.
Hoping that running will give me the strength and endurance to do other things!
I hate running. I think it’s stupid and boring. I dance many, many, many hours a week and (now) ride my bike everywhere. Why do I feel the need to do this?
But hey, running sucks. It’s really boring, and yet I can’t think of anything else except getting through the next minute or up the next hill.
I missed this morning so that’s my goal for the week kind of busted. (I really can’t go after 6 a.m. Not when the sun is up.)
I deliberately took yesterday off, and I’ll either have to do it tonight at 8:30/9 after a 10 hour work day and a hour and a half ballet class (hah!) or just acknowlege that 5 days a week is not the end of the world.
I think I’ll go with option 2.
