My altar is all done. The pictures are up, the tequila is poured, and there are skeletons galore. My roommate was cool with it at first – he’s from Texas so he’s used to the “weird things Mexicans do.” But I guess having one of these in such close proximity to his breakfast was a little odd.
I walked into the dining room this morning to find him talking to himself. I gave him a look and he said he was having a conversation with my grandma – or rather, the picture of her.
“She’s an interesting lady,” he said in the most sincere tone.
I just woke up. I had no response.
