To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naive.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair, and to try to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he’s forfeited his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.

Ok, I won’t say I have NO fear about this. Because I do. But I think I am going to be okay. I am getting out of the cushion of the military and I will be finding a new (civilian) job and moving, probably. I started looking online at what’s available, and there are TONS o’ jobs. I think I’ll be okay, I know I have a lot of work to do to get a new job, with applications and such, but I’ll get there. The end result will be worth it!!!

Can’t sleep…. For the past several nights I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night. The silence of this house is sometimes overbearing. There’s too much going on in my head to let me get any rest, I guess. Time is going by too slowly and it’s making me crazy!!! The past 24 hours have absolutely dragged.

“Open your heart to find a deeper level of love—trust is a worthwhile risk.”
I have a difficult time doing this, that’s for sure.

Others dream things that never were and ask why not.

The way to develop self-confidence is to do the thing you fear & get a record of successful experiences behind you. Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

Trust until they show you they cannot be trust worthy. Actions and words must be aligned with their behavior.
If the person hasn’t showed you that their words and actions are not aligned, then you have to check yourself to see why you feel that you cannot trust them. The issue might be within you, and not with them.
If there is a growing mistrust, you have to pay attention to that, because there may be something else wrong.
