I do this often... — 1 day ago
it’s hard though. I didn’t today because it’s POURING outside. But I’m going to do this any day it isn’t raining. :]

This month did quite a bit despite the weather, not doing much exercise so the bike ride is a delight
The weather here in the UK is behaving now …yay!
Flash is coming down from biking heaven

According to the calculator on the Minneapolis public transit website, that saved 108.44 lbs. of CO2 from getting dumped into the atmosphere (if I had driven my car instead). But really, I wouldn’t have come by car even if I didn’t bike. What I really saved is $60 on bus fare! And I got some nice exercise, fresh air and mental chill time between home and work.
I’ve been keeping this up as much as possible. I’ve had a few days where I’ve had to bring large things to work (larger than my bike’s basket can hold) and had to drive, but I’ve biked even on days I’ve had to dress up (and then change my clothes in the bathroom at work). I think this one’s going to stick so I’m going to flag it as done!

I can’t believe how easy and fun riding your bike to work. The only problem I have now is that I keep talking about riding and I am driving everyone insane.
On my first week of doing this goal, I rode my bike to/from work three times. The other two days were impossible because of errands either before or after work.
I’m definitely going to keep this up, and hope that this becomes a permanent habit by the end of the month. I live so close, and it’s far more pleasant than hitting every red light on my way to work!
Today is my first day of riding my bike to work. I’ve packed a lunch, a sweater to go over the tank top I’m wearing to ride, and a change of shoes, all into my bicycle basket.
Now I just have to contend with the fact that cardio turns my face bright red, even if I don’t physically feel exerted. This happened when I was in good shape, and happens just as much when I’m not. Ah well…

I got the bike and I’m ready. I’ve never done it before and it 13.2 miles to my job. But the good thing is that I don’t have to worry about getting sweaty because I work outside so no one will notice.
