learn to play a new instrument

I played the trombone in 6th grade, I started piano lessons in the 7th grade, then in high school I joined the marching band and played the clarinet. My husband has taught me to play the guitar a little… Now I need a new instrument to learn. I don’t know what, though… I’ve tried drumming, but, while I can keep a beat, the art of playing a percussive instrument that has no actual notes simply eludes me. My brother is the drummer in the family, as is my sister-in-law. My husband and his brother are the true guitar masters. I can’t seem to play properly because I use the sense of touch to play the piano, and so I don’t like the guitar because it hurts my fingers.

I play clarinet. I’m trying to teach myself piano. Saxophone or guitar would be fun as well…maybe cello someday
