So I already crossed off learning to drive a stick shift on my list of things to do…I just need to work on being a bit smoother. I need some tips. My trouble is still downshifting…can’t do it smoothly. The thing is, I don’t drive nearly often enough. (don’t have my own car) Went for a drive today in the country where I can practice. I’m going to try and go each day this week.
I need to practice because in a month my mom will be here to visit and I will need to drive her around.
How to learn to drive a stick shift smoothly
How I did it: Firstly my dad taught me the basics off the road. Then I took a few lessons, but didn't overdo it. After that I bought my car & made myself drive everywhere. After a few months, my confidence grew and I passed my driving test. Practice is the most important part.
Lessons & tips: Just keep at it & don't be afraid to make mistakes (safely!). Don't get flustered, just relax.

Yeah I was doing great for a while then today I accidently put it in 2nd and not fourth so my boyfrined got kind of pissed. Maybe I’m just destined to never drive one :(
