Coach Basketball

I play so much as it is…hopefully in the future I’ll coach a aau/high school team. I love this sport.

I coached my son’s 3rd grade basketball team when the two dads who had been coaching them since kindergarten wanted a year off. Now these were 3rd graders, but this was some SERIOUS basketball happening. I was almost intimidated!! I know my basketball though (too many of my male family members are jocks!), so I can hold my own with the rules and plays. My little team did VERY well indeed. And it was kinda neat being called “Coach”!

I coached basketball at Curtis High School as a Varsity Assistant Coach. It was a blast. I learned a lot. I will either continue with Curtis this year or look for a head coaching job somewhere in the area.

I need to find the time to do this…even if it is just a summer league team or a little kids team.
