mistereric is watching a movie and keeping warm! :D
I’ve been a gymnast all of my life and I’ve been captivated by the circus. I’ve started doing some aerial acrobatics like fabric, and bungee trap and such and I’ve been kind of eying at circus schools all over. The only thing is funding and time. But one day!

i have been eyeballing circus schools, and i found a really awesome program in the city that offers training for beginners, which is fantastic. Being at burning man and seeing all the amazing acrobats and performers really makes me envious.. My goal is to get the training and then eventually open up my own burlesque show. I am in the process of turning in my paperwork for the “circus” school so hopefully I will get accepted!! yayyyyyy

I have always thought this was so interesting and i would love to do it but i dont know how.
I might try stilt walking, acrobatics are out, and contortion might be awkward…..so its out. i wish i knew of a circus school in texas.
if anyone can point me in a good direction there would be a ton of appreciation.

I have been struck with the sudden urge to join the circus. I want to be an aerial artist, but i hate performing. it makes no sense. I want to be a clown, but I’m not even remotely funny. I want to juggle, but I have no coordination. I want to be a contortionist, but I’m afraid I’m too old. I am 18, but I know circus artists train starting at a young age.
The circus excites me even as it scares me. I remember reading a Russian fairy tale about a little orphan boy who was an acrobat in a circus. His master would starve him and abuse him. That story gave me the creeps, and to this day, whenever I go to the circus I remember that story and it gives me the chills. Clowns are especially scary.
I am a massage therapist and applied for a job at Cirque du Soleil. We’ll see what happens!
What I really want to do is go study at the San Francisco Circus Center, but that would require me moving there from Pennsylvania, which, incidentally, I would LOVE to do, but just don’t see how at this moment. Oh well!

Its amazing and crazy at the same time. Mythmaker is a Mytho thetrical sacred circus merging ancient magickal mythology with theatre circus fire and ceremony.
We are also taking applications for the 2007 season the crew is filling up for this year but the right person still might slip in.
Check us out www.mythmaker.ca
I’m open to talk and help people start out and live there dreams.
we also do workshops

If I joined the circus, I would probably accomplish a lot of my goals: getting over my fear of heights, meet new people, lose a few pounds, etc, etc. I would be doing something different. Maybe I could learn to swim while I’m there? I could swim with sharks and dive into the big tub of water. Maybe I’m dreaming too big here, because I have never actually SEEN the circus since I live in the middle of no where. I guess joining would fulfill another goal, that goal being to travel somewhere. I should join cirque du soleil and make costumes? Who knows. I guess I should try SEEING the circus before I join.

So today I worked on juggling three clubs. I can now do floaters and almost flash. I am pretty good at a kick-up start. I also walked my whole 20 foot slackline twice.
Don’t know if it will help me to join the circus but it is fun.
