see the sun set

Was magical and lovely :). Was a perfect clear evening and we spent it sat in a farmers field. The sun was setting, going down in one half have the tinted orange sky while the (full) moon was just rising on the other. LOVELY!

2001, bastille day in france, and the last school trip I would spend with my friends before the summer holidays, followed by a new school. During the trip, I had met Dennis, and we had become great friends. We had spent the day on the beach, playing games, dancing to a nearby street band and having sand-sculpture competitions. It was reaching sunset and we were walking along the surf’s edge, barefoot, just chatting and laughing. Suddenly we noticed the sun on the horizon, burning orange and beautiful. We all stopped to watch as it slowly disappeared into the sea, it was a wonderful sight, and a perfect end to the day. We spent the rest of the evening watching fireworks and joking around before strolling back to the hotel and to bed.
