Definitely worth doing!
How to travel overseas alone
How I did it: Travelled round Europe for 10 weeks. Started in Germany and Switzerland and then made my way East. It's definitely the best holiday I've had. You meet more people and are free to tag along with whoever you want for different parts of the trip. It also takes you right out of your comfort zone and turns the whole holiday into an adventure.
Lessons & tips: Planning is not needed. If you decide to move on tomorrow, you can book the next night's accommodation on the train.
Resources: The hardest part was booking the first flight. Once I had done that, everything else seemed to take care of itself. Oh, and work out how to make international calls BEFORE you go. ;)

This probably depends on what type of person you are… I think traveling alone can be very enjoyable – you can make up a persona to tell people and disappear into their dreams, or you can meet people and keep in contact with them.
The whole realm of being independent forces you to rely on others in ways you may not consider in your every day life (espeically when you don’t speak the language where you go).
This will give you a sense of adventure and excitement, in addition to plenty of stories your friends will envy. Be sure to take photos!
While you learn a lot about yourself and see amazing places, it would be way more fun to have someone along for the ride to share the experience with…
I was able to see the things I wanted to, avoid things I didn’t care to see, and travel at my own pace. I love traveling alone. :)
I just think this would be neat. It would also make meeting new people more likely.
Go somewhere alone than not go at all!
I just got tired of waiting for people to want(or be able) to travel. You meet people along the way and you learn a lot about yourself.
I’m very proud that I have done so…and will continue to do so.
