This city was all I wanted up until a few months ago, but I changed from being a shy girl who’s only goal was to blend in and never get noticed. As time went by I found someone who felt the same and we kind of convinced each other to step up and show who we are, now im just about the biggest Scene girl in my school (500ish people) and she is definatly the biggest hippie. Now that we’ve changed we love to see heads roll when we’re walking uptown but we both realized if we love this kind of life style we were going to have to get out. We both have a huge passion for life, and the art it holds, we have things figured out that only wise old men and women could tell you of. We’re going to make it im Montreal, if not as artists then as ourselves in a city we love with people we love, what more could I ask for?

I moved 2 days ago!! I’m now at Second Cup in downtown montreal… :D so far i’m loving Montreal! Don’t listen to these people who say that people in Montreal are mean to people who dont speak French, because I don’t at all, and so far several strangers have spoken to me and they were soo friendly. People here are social craziness. I think it’s a great city.. it’s full of life.
It’s the city of endless opportunities. I’m looking forward to excel here.
Good luck guys, I’m glad that you guys are going to be experiencing this.

Now that I’ve fully lived on my own in downtown Toronto, I need a change. I’ve relied on my family and friends and never really had an opportunity to force myself out of my comfort zone… I really liked Montreal the many times I’ve been there, I want to learn French and I want to stay in Canada. It makes sense… I aim to accomplish this goal in a year and a half.

Living in montreal may seem like a nice idea but if you’re not french canadian good luck finding a job and getting treated as a human being. anglophones in quebec are treated as second class citizens.

And have all the Smokes Meat I could possible consume. I want to be a citizen of la belle provence, Québec, and of Canada and spend all my springs and autumns under the shadow of Mount Royal.

I only have an AA degree from the USA. Are there any gov’t agnecies that place you with jobs when you immigrate to Montreal?
