NDure is organizing the 1st official HR training for his company
I did a public speech and read from the Qur’an infront of hunderds of people. It’s truly a memorable moment for me that I’m proud of :)
How I did it: Recently I completed a two-week internship at The Age Online, during which I managed to get a number of articles published. I also got a number of opportunities that interns are not usually granted and got to get out and file a story from on the field (by myself!).
At the end I was told by the editor that I did very well, "pulled my weight" and when I was out on the field, filed over the phone "better than some people who have been doing this for over 20 years!" Now, I know I'm boasting a little, but damnit; I'm proud!
I also am very proud that I have got a diploma in Film and Television and am about to finish my degree in Media and Communications. I am very happy with my achievements. Now I have to get a job doing that which I love.
Lessons & tips: Write down what you want to achieve then work as hard as you can towards it. Stick to your goal but realise that life does not always go to plan and to go down a different path might make you happier in the long run.
Be strong, focused, flexible and excitable. It will come eventually.
