started working with Garfields Typing Tutor, then progressed onto Mavis Beacon.
Took in total about 3 months, practicing for at least an hour every day – I’m a programmer, so the symbols were important – and tricky!!!!
Best thing I ever done, I am so glad I took this challenge on, work gets done faster, I can sit better, and best of all, I can type while looking over my monitor and speak to people (show off stuff) 17 months ago

How I did it: Well back in the day touch typing and business english and office skills or commerce classes were all the thing for women leaving school. I loved shorthand although I dont use it at all now. I had one of the best teachers ever she was strict and would dictate and you were not allowed to start typing till she reached a certain point in the text end of the third line down. Your hands were hidden under a board that you pulled over the top of the keys - no computers back then :) Read how I did it… 21 months ago
