spock9 is trying to decide if I should go through with it and grow wings.
I can’t remember where I heard of falconry, but it sounds pretty fun, and I’d love to do it. :)

Well, 2010 would be a good year to start with an introduction day, that should be fairly cheap and also a bite-sized goal that is achievable.
I never put it into practice (because I chose parrots instead, and the two don’t mix LOL), but I learned about and watched how it’s done from another falconer I met in Hollister. Absolutely awe-inspiring birds. I highly reccomend this to anyone interested in birds or hunting.

I once had an incredibly profound spiritual vision in which a bird spirit entered me. I learned things from this visitation… strengths…
Afterwards, I looked up birds of prey to determine what it was. The closest match I could make was a falcon.
Ever since then I have wanted to learn falconry.
Not really for hunting, but to learn to communicate and work with with the bird.
