We gave our first mass talk today at St. Scholastica – it was great. Jed and I worked together on the talk – and got it workshopped by a senior couple last week. I was SO nervous, but happy that I was realizing a lifelong dream of preaching a homily – albeit not based on the gospel, and not alone.
But hey – on the altar during mass is good! It counts.

Jed and I are rookies no more! We presented our first WWME weekend to 19 couples. It was a huge, great success for our family and all the people involved. I am so proud of us.

Jed and I have almost finished writing our talks so we can present our first weekend. There are already 18 couples signed up, and we only need 15 to make it a go.
I am excited and nervous – and so proud of us for following through. Once our talks get approved, I’ll really believe it all.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter is a grass roots, countercultural movement that encourages spouses to actually communicate with each other and remember why they got married in the first place.
It’s sort of a weekend retreat for married people – it’s Christian, but not in an evangelical way at all. It’s donation only, so the cost is what you choose to pay.
The movement is 30 years old and it’s all around the world. I’m trying to share the dream – but most people roll their eyes.

I haven’t even handed out one flyer yet! UGH!
My sister gave me some ideas for promoting non-profits and trying to stay motivated to promote the cause. She works for a national church organization.
I want to be a WWME vigilante – bring the message to the people – spread the word – be an apostle – share the dream.

I’m going to try to pass out flyers all the time – like 30 in 30 days, to anyone who is remotely interested. Get the word out. Be a witness.
