This week, buy someone a small gift that they are not expecting. Take pleasure in planning what to buy, buying the present, planning to give the present and then relish in the feeling of giving someone you love the chosen gift.

How I did it: My friend was feeling down one day, so I came over to his apartment with some of our favorite funny movies and we had a blast. He said he definitely felt better after that, and that I'd made his day. :) Read how I did it…

How I did it: It's not a one time thing.... you have to actually care and be honest. If you make someone's day by lying you may as well not say anything at all. It can be the smallest thing, like saying you like someone's eyes, or something bigger, like cheering someone up after a long hard week or work and school. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I've always had a rocky relationship with my father. We have struggled all my life to be cvil to each other. I know that tI have hurt him in a lot of ways, and he has in turn rejected me in a lot of ways. Anyways, to make a long story short, the other day I had a sudden compulsion to hug him. Afterwards, I told him about this goal, and asked him whether or not my hug qualified as the thing that 'made his day'. He told me yes, undoubtedly.A… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I say and write meaningful things to the specific person... whoever touches my life in some form, or inspires me in any significant way, I make sure to let them know that they are appreciated by me. I love to express appreciation to the people that I love. It is really great! Read how I did it…

last night luke and i were coming back from the gym and we saw this lady walking around in the middle of the street next to all this debris and a totally wrecked mercedes. we pulled over to ask if she was okay and she was totally in shock saying how the other car, which was a truck, just drove off. It must have just happened because we looked around for a truck and sure enough it was about ten car lengths away with no tail lights visible and a heap of crap still falling off the back as it started to drive off. We went after it and got the license plate number before it turned onto another street and we managed to get back to the lady as the cops were coming to give them the information. we had to stay and write a statement but it felt amazing to be able to help out in a situation like this. it’s happened to me and some other people i know and there should be no reason for anyone to be able to get away with a hit and run. the lady was on her way to the hospital but she was okay and both her and the cops thanked us several times. it wasnt the greatest of situations but surely our act made her day in some way.
go team venture!

The other day my friend got surgery to get her nose ring remove after it had got stuck. I draw a before and after picture of her and sent it to her in a comment on myspace. She wrote back saying she was laughing so hard and would be for weeks because it was so funny. Plus she wrote that it made her day. So this goal is officially completed!

My friend cindi said I made her day yesterday. We hung out and chatted and laughed and ate popcorn and had a sleepover. She made my day too! I miss her!

when i have accomplished this goal?
At work I help people all the time, and I underestimated how much it can mean to some people. Today I went out of the way to get a customer something and help them and they thanked me like fifty times and then told my manager I was an amazing person. I was told about an hour later that they were picking me for a promotion…
