keep in touch with my friends and family

over here to stay with my dad and step-mum for a while so Im getting to know them all over again.

I just came back from visiting my sisters and my 2 nieces… I havent seen then in 4/3/never even met years. It was lovely spending time with them and I have thought maybe I will move closer to them soon. Also last weekend I was at my Aunts place with my cousins, havent seen them in a year either so that was great.
Recently Ive caught up with almost all my old friends and a large numbers of family members. Im even on a night out with a few old mates tonight.
So something really bad happened in my life a month ago and while that will never become a good thing, there have been many positive things come out of the tragedy.

I recently needed friends, and they were there for me big time. More than I could have hoped to imagine. In the past Ive never been the best at keeping in touch but that was a whole lifetime ago, and now this Flo is great at keeping in touch with her friends old and new.

Even a 5 minute phone call in your chaotic life makes a world of difference. If they don’t answer, leave a message. It shows you cared enough to let them know you do want to keep in touch.

Although I’m really busy with college, I have been able to call and email my good friends. I’ve probably gone a good 2 months without talking to my friends because I was so busy, sad really. And they’re pretty busy too.

I should visit my brother’s family here soon.

I talked to my brother, my sister in law, and my friend.

Still need to call and see how my out-of-town friends are doing.

I’m really bad at this. I really neglected my friends this last semester. Luckily most of them were busy too, so I don’t feel so bad ;-)

But I need to take the initiative to at least call them if I’m not able to hang out with them.

I’m going to have more small parties and game nights at my place, mostly to socialize.

The people I’ve neglected to stay in touch with are my brother, sister-in-law, nephews, and my three close girlfriends.

I’m going to make a point of calling them because they mean so much to me, but how would they know that if I don’t talk to them.

I’d like to be able to stay in touch with family and friends, even when my life is overwhelmingly busy…because family and friends are what really matter.
