Have a spa day

it’s not exactly a ‘spa day’ but i have appointments to finally get my hair highlighted and cut, and my nails done on saturday! :) my friend is going along with me to do the same. i can’t wait! and it will be great, right before my interview…. yay!

So, I can’t afford to go to the spa, but one of these days I’m gonna take a day off of work, take a long bubble bath with wonderful scented candles lit, and afterwards, lotion up and do my nails. Then sit in a comfy chair and read a book.

A spa day shouldn’t be considered a luxury…but required maintenance! We take care of everyone but ourselves. This is a great way to feel rejuvenated. If you can only afford one thing, get a facial! It’s good for your skin and you usually get a mini-head/shoulder/hand massage along with it.

My second favorite is a good pedicure with the massage that goes along with it. The gal I go to gives me about a 20 minute foot/leg massage before she polishes my toes!

BTW, I saw a neat contraption recently—an inflatable foot soaking bath with marbles on the bottom to massage your feet. Who says you need an electric foot bath?!!!!

I’m having a “mile-stone” birthday this year. Since I can’t travel for my birthday with work and school, I think I’ll take the day off and treat myself to a full spa experience.
Since this is on a Friday maybe dinner at a very expensive restaurant too?

We went to Santa Fe Day Spa in Birmingham. Not the best spa experience I’ve ever had, but not the worst either. If you go, skip the mani/pedi and go for the massage and facial. Ask for Michael for your massage and Jennifer for your facial.

I’ve wanted to do a day at the spa ever since my Mom and I spent a glorious day at the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in California.

It won’t be as posh as that, but this weekend we’re going for a spa day together. Sauna, whirlpool, massage, spa manicure and pedicure… it’s going to be heaven.

I have recently been to the Riverstone Spa here in the Peg for a relaxation massage. And it definitely was a relaxation!!! I totally recommend pampering yourself for one day.

I feel pretty good now so it was worth it for sure! I need to do it more often. I can’t wait until I get out of college and can afford to go to a real spa for a day, but for now my own little spa is good enough!

I have a face mask, hair mask, and a foot scrub. Then I am going to get my hair cut and paint my toenails. By the end of the afternoon I will feel a little refreshed…hopefully. I know it isn’t much, but it’s about all I can afford right now. Plus I’m still really excited about it!!
