DiamondMindEdited.

Fifteen was not my original goal for this year, but reading kind of went to the back burner while I concentrated on my biggest goals. I’m kind of sad that I didn’t make this goal, but I’m happy enough with how much I’ve accomplished this year. So I decided to just be happy with the 15 that I did read, and attempt for 100 next year! 17 months ago

TooCreatives#12 - Bossypants by Tina Fey

I really enjoyed this book. Funny and witty it makes a great book to read on public transportations while going to work or university. It has some life lessons and career advice but they don’t come out as boring as many books tend to do but as pieces of wisdom we often forget. 17 months ago

TooCreatives#11 - Listen to my voice by Susanna Tamaro

This book is the sequel to Follow your heart, a book a enjoyed a lot. However, I did not enjoy this book.
I don’t remember much about the story of Follow your heart so I found the beginning of Listen to my voice to be weird because I did not know who the main character was referring to, it took me a few chapters to realize it was her grandmother. There are moments in the book where you can relate to her story, specially in parts about death or loneliness or the sense of wanting to belong but often I found the book to be dull, uninteresting and like the author was trying to get things off her chest. 17 months ago

TooCreatives#10 - Island Beneath the Sea: A Novel by Isabel Allende

I really enjoyed this book. My only criticism is that the author sometimes would begin the chapters without a clear continuum of the past chapter and it took a while to catch up. I liked the end although I would like to see it a bit longer because this one look like it was wrapped up very quickly. 18 months ago

TooCreatives#9 - Wokini by Billy Mills & Nicholas Sparks

This book looks a lot like a self-help book and although it has some lessons on happiness we often forget, it can become quite repeating and boring sometimes. 18 months ago

TooCreatives#8 - The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks

Combining romance and thriller, this book gave me goosebumps specially from the middle of the book until the end. It starts out like any other Nicholas Sparks book but a few chapters later it turns into a thriller unlike any of his other books (Safe Haven has a bit of thriller but this one is bigger and better, also this book was written first). You just can’t keep the book down, you want to see how it ends because it’s really good. 19 months ago

TooCreatives#7 - "Safe Haven" by Nicholas Sparks

Another great book by Nicholas Sparks. I really enjoyed the twists and the thriller end between the main characters: Katie, Alex and Kevin. 19 months ago

TooCreatives#6 "A Perfect Hoax" by Italo Svevo

Interesting story of a man who is sure his book (written many years before) is still destined to greatness and success and falls into a hoax. It is a tale of how we assume our dreams will always come true and fall into that illusion without realizing it may not come true.

It is very well written and it’s small book, nearly 100 pages. 20 months ago
