have nice furniture

I’m at home on my computer sitting on a folding chair that is slowly disintegrating.

just enough to get a rocking/reclining loveseat & a new bedroom set. the color of the loveseat isn’t my ideal, however, i can get a cover to change that LOL
this weekend was tax-free shopping in MA (provided it wasn’t a car, service, or $2500) so screw it, why not? i’ve been waiting for too long to get decent seating for the living room (we can only fit either a loveseat or 2 chairs & it cost less for the loveseat)...delivery is Friday so Thursday night i can say goodbye to ugly, uncomfortable seats that make my back hurt & legs fall asleep! YAY!!!

this isn’t gonna happen…too many other things demanding my $$$

don’t have layaway….i wonder if i would qualify for financing…but do i really want to, basically, get another loan? NO!!!!!!
so i have to wait til i get my bonus check & suffer, in the meantime, with ugly, uncomfortable seating….. sigh dammit

to find out if i can do layaway with Jordan’s as i don’t have all of the money for the furniture right now…if i can do at least 60 days i’ll be set. if not i’ll save up for it.
i really can’t stand this furniture much longer. it’s not comfortable (you sink down & the backs are low) and it’s ugly too LOL
i tried to recover it at one point, when it was still somewhat comfortable…that worked for a little while…
it’s just not made for tall people or good posture. i need to improve my posture, however, i sit down to watch tv & i find myself slouching because the back is only as high as my lower back. in order for me to sit back & relax, i either stare at the ceiling or slouch…not good…
time to go furniture shopping for the living room.
i don’t care what hubby wants to get for “the cave” (his living room…yes, we have our own living rooms & highly recommend it for others too! :D) this is the first room anyone sees when they come over & the furniture embarasses me. why should he get new stuff first? i was supposed to get new furniture before he got a desk for the cave. he’s had his desk for almost 5 years now & i still have poopie furniture in here! not nice!!! my turn now!

ikea is absolutely fine, but i’m really tired of flat packs and i’m turning 30 this year so i want to acquire some really nice, solid, wooden, maybe antique, maybe valuable furniture to pass on to future children. and to make my home look great as i’ve just remortgaged in order to renovate and expand it. if i’ve spent that much money on the house, i want to make what i put in it good too.

something that could work in my little living room (11×11 with 4 doorways, 2 windows, and a radiator in between the windows)!!!! it was in a local furniture store ad…it’s like a loveseat, but one side’s the recliner & the other’s a chaise! that would be perfect!! i could either lay on the chaise or kick back in a recliner!
i need to have at least 1 recliner, as i have yet to find any other chair (or sofe) with a back high enough for me to sit upright & be comfy…

not while i have 2 cats!

I have not been able to buy nice furniture yet!! The excuse is always “the kids” wait until they are older.. It’s a valid reason, but I’m dying to have nice things in my home! I’m a decorator at heart, I love things to look a certain way, I re-arrange the furniture I do have in my house all the time…I can’t wait until I can just go out and buy all new NICE things!
