 "Went to Vegas and decided to go to a couple shows. Blue Man Group was one of them."
How I did it: This was a trip! My cousing and I decided to go to Las Vegas for her birthday. We wanted to make it memorable, so we decided to go to Phantom. At the same time, we wanted to see Blue Man Group. They are both pretty pricey for a couple girls with limited income. But we decided that once in a lifetime opportunities should be taken advantage of! So, we did it! Lessons & tips: Take the opportunities that are given to you! Just save money for a while. It is easy to save a dollar a day or some teeny amount in order to do a worth-while thing. |

How I did it: My dad always told me that the one thing I'd have to do if I ever went to Veags was to see the Blue Man Group. At this time, I don't quite have the money to fly down to Veags to see them. So, when they annouced their "How to be a Megastar" tour was coming to my town, I jumped at the opprtunity. We saw the show in Las Vegas. ADD boy said at the end of the show,”I’m SO going to be a Blue Man next Halloween!” I was thinking the same thing for him when I was watching the show. :)
Hot Tip. If you go through the gift shop you can get into the theater much faster. There is no line! :) I have a hard time standing and this trip has been really hard on my legs. We figured that we would just let the kids wounder around the gift shop. We have tickets so there is not any need to to stand in line and wait in this mile long line!
Ta Da easy peasy, plenty of time to get a drink, go potty, take pics of the Blue Men with the Mona Lisa in the lobby. Find our seats, read the funny stuff on the digital crawl.
They also put announcements of people in the audience. We had one of the guys who discovered the Human Genome, an Olympic Gold metal winner and a girl with a migraine LOL!!
The are coming to CA next year maybe we will take ADD boy for his B-day.
We piddled and waited for the crowed to leave again because of my feet and legs. We left out though the gift shop and while McSmarty was getting ADD boy his t-shirt I took DIY girl back onto the potty. I saw that people were getting their photos taken with the Blue Men!! I go back in the store. The boys had left and were waiting out front. “Hey guys get back in here!” I asked the kid, can we go back in one more time for a quick pic?” :) He had just let me back in for the potty :) Sure just as long as they are still there. Ok Cool, Thanks! Run!

First at the Luxor, on New Year’s Eve 2005 before they changed venue, and then on July 2, 2007 at the Venetian, a much bigger and better theater. Worth seeing again and again.
