although it really seems unbelieveable, I might go to NYC in May 2008 :) me and a few friends of mine applied for this “work and travel” program, and Inshallah, we may go to NYC in May 2008, stay till August…and I don’t know what to say…
you know, it’s really strange- we always plan something when we finish our studies, when we get married, when we find a good job…but then something happens, and you see your dream coming true! When I go there it will just prove my point: ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT YOUR DREAMS FULFILLED IS BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN INFLUENCE YOUR FUTURE, ‘cause you bloody can!!!
cheers
and those in NYC- meet ya there
The only place out of manhatton i would suggest living is brooklyn
nice chill hip places in brooklyn are Downtown, Park Slope, Williamsburg, DUMBO, Cobble Hill, Carrol Gardens, parts of Bed Stuy and Red Hook (not the projects)!!
anywhere in manhatton is fine, however the village, soho, chelsea, the bowery, tribeca and the lower east side (LES) are what i consider the nicest parts of the city,
also for a bargain i would move to Harlem because its becoming vastly more gentrefied and is now a much safer neighborhood with lower prices then other parts of the city
(gotta love them brownstones!!)
BOrn in broooklyn now live in the village, greatest city in the world
i do love to travel though
yakuza who has missed me?
Born in Brooklyn, grew up in http://www.43places.com/visit/Hornell-New-York-State/194423, went to college in Rochester and then lived in NYC for 2 years.
I think I’ve got this one covered.
Manhattan is worth living in, but the rest of NY is total crap-I live here and I personally I can’t wait to get out …
i transferred to a college 20 minutes from the city. i love ny and everything about it (other than how expensive it is!) i plan on living here for the rest of my goddman life!
I want to live in NY for atleast one year… maybe two. I went there once for 2 weeks and stayed with my aunt and loved it. I did all the touristy things and that was fun, but i want to experience living there for a while. This goal will hopefully be completed within 6 years. Then to Cali or over seas for a while depending on my $$$ situation.
This goal is to be in N.Y. for a period not smaller than 6 months, if possible one year! The idea of NY is to live in a rush rush environment and also in the U.S.A.. I know that the Americans are very different from cost to cost. But for now, i have only interest in the east part of the States.
New York is supposed to be one of the more energy places in the World, cause by its non stop population with their frenetic life style. The second great advantage of N.Y. is to live in one of the cities with most culture diversity. Would like to see and experience a city with a great diversity of peoples, creeds, habits and understand how can it all work together, in its own ironic harmony.
