go out more

This summer I plan on going out more. I always end up having a lot of fun when I go to clubs and bars. I turn into a social butterfly once I have a few drinks in me. I love the feeling of being in a club dancing to music all night long. And having another drink baby!

I really need to go out more. I focus too much on work and need to go out and enjoy myself more!

I always feel much better after I’ve been out. I get days when I get stressed about going out, but if I stay in too long then I get depressed and worry I’m wasting time. It’s even harder now that I don’t have much money because I’d love to go to the cinema and ice-skating and things like that. I don’t go out without a reason (like buying milk, doing errands) because I get too stressed and feel like people know I’m wandering. I need to work on that and realise that going for a walk just for the sake of getting some air is okay.

Last Friday I managed to do something that I haven’t done in a while: Ask people if they want to do something.
All it took was texting “pub?” to three friends and two of them replied.
Sure we just talked about work and zombies but at least I wasn’t at home watching tv by myself.

I come home from work and just conk out on the sofa, or go for a run but then i’m pooped for the rest of the evening.
I get up at 7 and i’m home by 6, that still gives me plenty of time for a social life. It’s not like I have a difficult job when i’m there either.
S wants to go out more, and I do too. We need to make some friends in this city.

so i went to the mall w/ my friend yesterday and had soooooo much fun. we saw this band called The Exotic Aquatic perform at hot topic. then we went around shopping for a while, and were laughing a million times for a million reasons. and then we saw this guy wearing a really neon pink shirt so we were like “i like ur shirt” and he turned out to be from another band called Freshman Sunday and told us they were gonna perform at a place right next to the mall, and altho we didnt go [cuz it was gonna start late], it was still awesome meeting them. by the time i got home, i just went straight to sleep. overall awesome day =]

So I went out with some of my girls tonight (we are all close in age) and had such an amazing time! It was soo nice not having to act responsible or like the “mature” one in the group. I realized that I the group that I have been running around with is for the most part younger than me, and hanging out with them makes me feel old and like I have to “act my age,” meaning all mature and what not or the “responsible one” in the group. But tonight I just went out with some of my girls and had a good time. We were crazy and didn’t care what people thought. We just had fun. I’ve decided that I want to start having more of these nights. Tonight was too good to not do it again.

2/14/09: It was a friend of a friend’s sister’s b-day party :) That being said it was obvious I didn’t know anybody. I had soooo much fun!!! I’ll definately try to make it at least a monthly thing, if not more often.

I’m living in Budapest, a pretty exciting city, so I go to bars and night and sight seeing during the days when I don’t have class.
