Bjarke is wondering what to do with his life
My ambitions have dwindled a bit since I wrote about this goal two years ago. My new site is a blog solely concentrated on a personal account on my life as a writer (in Danish). I figured any small site has to have a rather narrow focus to be of interest to anyone but me. When I have other interesting things to post on the internet beside my writing life I’ll probably make independent sites on new domain names.
My name is Monique and I would like to find various ways i could pay for college. I am presently living in New york but I plan on going to college in Florida. So you already kno out-of-state cost will be redicilous. any sudjestions???
I have my own page already ( http://www.freewebs.com/eloisethedeviant/ )and I love it! I’ve more actually, this is probably my third or fourth go.
I guess my next goal now is to get my own domain name, and start selling some t-shirts with my face on it…
i’ve had a personal website for a long time. since my daughter was born (nearly six years ago!), it’s main focus has been pictures and movies of her for family far away.

After lots of procrastination I’ve finally managed to finish (almost at least) the design of www.ouro.dk
Now the only things I need to do is a little more server-side coding, write lots of contents and multilingualize the existing content.

It’s done. Now I almost have a home page: www.ouro.dk is gonna be it’s name. Can’t wait to actually upload something… :P

What should it be… It seems all the www.bjarke.* are taken. “ouroborosslayer” is too long and complicated to spell. Maybe simply “ouro”? Too bad only my national prefix is left – .net, .info and .com are already taken. Will people think the site is only in Danish if it has a .dk attached…?

I’ve thought about it and come to the conclusion that it’s going to be a bilingual site. Maybe tri- or quadrolingual in the future when I’ve reached sufficient fluency, but right now it’s going to be bilingual – in English and Danish. Not all of the page is going to be bilingual, some parts are going to be solely in Danish, and some parts, albeit fewer, will only be in English. This is after all a personal home page, not a professional web page that needs to be accessible to everyone.
Multilinguality poses an interesting programming-related technical problem that is going to interesting to solve.
