go rock climbing

A shame. I’ll probably go in October. See, the thing is, you need a belay partner and there are very little people here interested in climbing with me and the people who are interested, we have to coorinate schedules. Very annoying. Why do I have goals that depend on other people for me to finish?
Anyone in Ottawa want to go climbing?

I did this yesterday with Brett. To anyone in Toronto I would highly recommend the Toronto Climbing Academy. It’s at Queen and Broadview, and costs $38 for a lesson if you’ve never climbed before, or you just want a quick refresher, after that you can climb as much as you’d like, and equipment rental is included. Staff was really friendly too.

There a place here, Vertical Reality, which offers private lessons on wall climbing. I made a phone call and left a message but I haven’t heard back from them so far. (I’ll have to call them again very soon.) I can get quite busy especially with boxing (which I do two nights a week) but I’ll find a way to fit it in. I always do somehow.

i thought i would be able to tick this off. but i wont. i have been rostered on for work every day of the first week of holidays (almost over, eek!) and i am doing work experience 9am-5pm all of the second week. so, unfortunately, itll be a little too full on… unless theres a place i can do it at night? i was hoping to do it outdoors so… i dont think so!
never mind, i have time yet… just not these holidays

i’ve gone hiking at school….but proper trekking and mountaineering is another thing altogether…planning on applying for an elite mountaineering school next year…

i got belay certified, and im going again today. i’m probably just going to belay more than anything, cuz my arms still hurt.
